I am NOT going to get into any Debates, or “what if” scenarios, you can disagree or agree down in the comment section, voice your thoughts or opinions, just keep it respectful ( on this blog)

Regardless of how you feel about the new SESTA and FOSTA law, it is working…

I get it, I DO truly understand why so many were against it, and yes they are right, I agree with them for the most part.

I am torn, as a survivor of Sex Trafficking, I am so grateful that something other than lip service is being done to curb it as much as possible, Governments and law, and people have had decades…DECADES of discussion and debates about how to tackle sex trafficking. the time for “discussion” is over, there is nothing to discuss that hasn’t already been said…Decades, people… everyone has been dragging their opinionated asses for decades “talking& discussing & debating” the problem, but doing jackshit about it.. so when do people shut up and actually do something? … never thats when, because they won’t.

the main reason why people never do anything is simple… they don’t want to offend anyone, and they don’t want to infringe on other peoples rights, and I get that, I understand… but what about the rights of the youngsters being bought and sold? are your rights more important than theirs? … look at your daughter or son, little sister or little brother before answering. if you don’t have any of those, go watch the I am Jane Doe documentary, the link is in an earlier post.

yes this is going to hurt those in the sex trade… in typical United States fashion.. they took an idea, turned it into law, and just carpet bombed everyone everywhere.. (DOH!!!)

as I said I am torn, cuz on the other hand, I fully support this law, or rather the Mechanics of the law, I get what they are trying to do, just all sex workers got caught in the carpet bombing tactics…

you can’t go to war against something or someone and not accept the fact that there is going to be Collateral Damage, if you can’t accept that fact then perhaps you should not go to war? .. or in this case.. perhaps you should have taken care of this before the WWW/ internet became a must have in every home.

Decades people… Decades… I was sold before the internet became widely available, the big thing then was pagers & magazines ( the back of playboy swank hustler etc. ) people were talking about this forever, and doing nothing.

(this will be an unpopular statement)… if this law saves at least 1 young girl (or boy) from being sold into sex trafficking… then it was worth it, no matter how many sex trade workers just got screwed over by an overly aggressive blanket law…

This law can be ratified by the new Potus and government (seriously you people can’t possibly vote that idiot in for 2 terms)<< this is NOT a challenge for godsakes!!

but for the next 2 years, this is the law, and it is better than no law… as I said the time for “talking about solutions” is over, it is time to put up or shut up… Decades people.. Decades!!

no matter how you word that law when it gets around to being ratified… it is still going to infringe on someone, this is a fact of life… every single law in your country screws someone else over it always has and always will… you can not please everyone, so you have to do what you have to do for the greater good of all.

So I am happy to post the following links… Backpage is no more and finally, people are being held accountable and facing prison…, it doesn’t make a victim all better and happy and life goes on as normal ( you are NEVER normal after) but it is a small sense of vindication, and even that small sense is better than living your life knowing people don’t care… at least now, someone cares.

Feds Seize Backpage (Wired)

U.S. Seizes Backpage, (NY Times)

Sex ads website Backpage Seized (CNBC)

Sex Marketplace Backpage Seized (Global news *Canada)

Ex-Backpage Exec charged (USA Today)

and yes there are thousands of websites that are alternatives to Backpage, no matter how many get taken down a thousand more will appear.. and thus continues the battle against sex trafficking.

selling a 13-year-olds ass brings 20 30 + times the money that selling drugs do, it is a huge & profitable industry, it is increasing each year, and it is happening in your towns and cities, here in Canada too, and the fight to end it must never stop…

one last thought for you for every girl saved from human traffickers, 3 die / 1 in 3 survive, that was the odds 20+ years ago, the number who die is most likely much higher now as human lives have become cheaper, especially female lives.

Worthless girl
